Welcome to the
In this challenging and exhilarating race
that will have you will navigate across wilderness terrain to find pre-set
control points using your compass and a very detailed and technical
orienteering map. The control points are located over an area of 6 square
keep in mind that the map is technically challenging with many small
features (lakes, swamps, rocks and cliffs). You will need to stay focused
on the map and CHECK YOUR SPEED.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
and First Aid - at BRANDYWINE Parking Lot and at the Cal-Cheak Camp
Site (Event Center) for both days. 2 water controls are marked on your
map marked as a red cup.
Whistles are mandatory and bear bells are suggested. If you need help: 3
short blasts of your whistle.

At the western and the eastern end of the map, there are dangerous
cliffs. Please be aware of that and avoid them.

You can select your own route between
control points and visit them in any order. The aim is to find as many of
them as possible in 4 hours.
Control Cards -
Use the DAY 2 control card
(with 40 squares). Make sure that your name(s), category (Solo, Team - 2
or Team - 4) and gender (F, M or co-ed) are written on your control card.
- From the Event Center at Cal-Cheak Camp Site follow signs to the western
side of the Suspension Bridge. Plan to be there at least 15 minutes in

Control points value:
You can select your own route between the
points and visit them in any order. The aim is to find as many of them as
possible, summing to the greatest value, in 4 hours.

to 30 Medium 20 pts. each
to 35 Difficult 30 pts. each
total, there are 650 points. Any controls not found will give you penalty
points. If you arrive back after 4 hours, additional penalty points will
be added (10 points per minute).
